A Child's Place Preschool & Child Care Centers is owned and operated by A.C.P. Day Care Inc., a Virginia corporation.. Since 1984, we have provided Richmond area residents with quality and affordable childcare. We try to create an environment of caring--a concern about your child’s physical, mental, emotional, and social development. Your child will spend many hours with us, and we would like to consider ourselves an extension of your home. Like you, we will try to encourage your child to develop a sense of what is right and wrong, a consideration for the feelings of others, a respect for adults and other children, a sense of accomplishment and positive self-esteem. At the same time, we will strive to provide an academic program for intellectual growth.
  • Hours of operation: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Serving Children 6 weeks to 13 years old.
  • Our facility as well as our teachers are accredited by the International Academic for Private Education (I.A.P.E.), a State recognized accrediting association.
  • Most employees are CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • We serve a morning and afternoon snack as well as a hot lunch.
  • The center will be closed only for the following holidays or the day on which the holiday is observed: New Years’ Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
  • Open even in snowy conditions.
  • Buses is equipped with safety belts and cell phones.
  • Video Monitored Classrooms for the safety and security of our children.
  • Lucks Lane Campus offers a multi-use 4,700 square foot gymnasium and child friendly kitchen!
